What if I’m not a writer? It’s okay. It’s more about being real than being a writer. We will help along the way and do practice writing sessions to help you describe what you are feeling. We also have professional editors as part of the package who will be with you at each step.
I’m afraid to be Vulnerable. That fear makes sense. Vulnerability doesn’t mean oversharing. It means sharing with intention, consent and strength. This is a process of healing as well as writing what matters that may help someone else.
Is my story big enough? If your story changed you, IT MATTERS. We are talking about quiet transformations, internal shifts and maybe even moments no one applauded but saved you.
But I want to write a whole book someday. Why just a chapter? Writing your own book would be incredible—and I truly hope you do. Think of this as your launchpad. Awakening is part of the Born to Rise™ movement, created to bring women together in community, to collectively amplify our voices, and transform our stories into sources of confidence and empowerment.
This isn’t “just a chapter.” It’s an opportunity to develop a meaningful piece of your story with personal coaching, professional editing, and built-in visibility—while standing shoulder to shoulder with other women who are rising too. You get to be part of something bigger than yourself and take a bold, supported step toward the book you’ve been dreaming of.

Your Story Matters! For years I have watched and listened as women share their stories on a stage and in our Born to Rise™ book. They have a positive shift right before my eyes and the audience awakens to something new as well. Our stories connect us, bringing us together in a shared vision of healing by being more compassionate and understanding of the human condition. Telling your story is a way to let someone know they are not alone.

This book will not only be a collection of transformational and vulnerable stories written by women like you who have lived, lost, risen, questioned, healed and become, but a community of authors who understand these stories need to get told.
What makes this project unique is that we are not simply asking you to submit a 1,500-word chapter. We are asking for you to be a part of a collective healing, a support system for other women and to step into something that excites you and scares you at the same time. This is when you expand, grow, have impact and do something you may never have thought you would do. YOU WILL FEEL BRILLIANTLY EMPOWERED!
This is a movement with a mission: to RISE together and create real change. No more playing small, dimming our light, or questioning our worth. It’s time to Awaken to what’s possible—for yourself and for the women rising alongside you.
Sharing a vulnerable story is a courageous act of standing in your truth. What happened to you can be a catalyst for great expansion if you relate to it in a new way. I promise you I know this first hand and together we will show the readers that your story and their story can be empowering and inspiring. If you are ready to RISE than let’s do this!

Hi, I’m Kim Fuller, founder of Born to Rise.™ I am an author, Tedx speaker and story coach. I am passionate about helping you shine.
For years, I helped women show up boldly in front of my camera. Now, I help them step forward with their voices—owning their stories and sharing them with courage and authenticity.
I’m always thinking about how to create safe, supportive spaces where women can explore what truly matters to them and this book is one of those spaces. I cannot wait to work with you and bring your story to life.
Ashley Cook is a writer, storyteller, and the editor for Born to Rise Awakening. For the past 18 years, she’s helped Fortune 500 companies, major brands, nonprofits, and small business owners across 40+ industries put clear, powerful language to the impact they’re here to make.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and intuitive. As your story comes into focus, Ashley works alongside you to refine the structure, strengthen the message, and bring your voice forward on the page. The result is a chapter that reads clearly, feels true to you, and resonates with the people it’s meant to reach.
Ashley was also a coauthor in the first Born to Rise book project, an experience that was deeply transformative and remains one of the most meaningful chapters of her work and life.
Paul Baillie-Lane of World Changers Media is an apologetic Englishman. He received an MA in Book Publishing in 2009, and over the next thirteen years developed his skills as a project manager, editor, proofreader, page designer and typesetter.
What’s a pre-press manager? Well, think of a literary physician with a calm demeanor and firm grip, taking each author and manuscript through the various stages of distillation to birth books of the highest editorial and visual quality.
